I finished cleaning and painting the rear axle. It's not perfect, like a powder coat finish, but it looks so much better than it did. I used POR15, but just brushed it on over the existing paint (I know that's not proper, but the paint was sound and I had not way to transport the axle for media blasting. Installed a new cover plate gasket as well since looked to be the source of the leak. Now it's time to start reassembly... Mounted the fresh shocks and the bolted up the front spring...

Rear Suspension Rebuild I knew that the front bushings on my '69 B roadster were bad and had been thinking about rebuilding them, but was concerned with the complexity of the front suspension and my abilities as a mechanic.
