I am an avid MG and overall automotive enthusiast. Though new to the MG Experience, I have been active elsewhere and am a member and Technical Advisor of the American MGB Association (AMGBA) as well as a member of the New Jersey MG Car Club Central Jersey Centre and MG Car Club Hong Kong (MGCCHK). I have had my MGB Roadster for 18 years now. In addition to a bevy of American, Asian and European cars, I have previously had other LBC's including a 1960 A-H Sprite, 1967 A-H 3000 and 1973 Ford Capri 2.6. I have been answering tech questions for the AMGBA on either their board (www.mgclub.org) or directly by e-mail at chfwrench@aol.com since becoming a member in 1991 and enjoy hearing others stories and the issues that challenge us in restoring and maintaining our cars. If you think I can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact me at any time. Art

007 MGB 3

Getting to Hong Kong often, I like to see the spots where many films are made. Most take exceptional "license" with the geography and there are many errors made in the name of art with regard to locations and reality, and the James Bond series, which has at least (3) films partially shot here, are some of the worst offenders. The Bond film, "Die Another Day" has Bond swim across the harbor (a fairly difficult to impossible feat in itself) and climb up on the dock of the Royal Yatch Club with t...

58 MGA Restoration - Hong Kong

Colin and prize at MGCCHK Natter Noggin

Introduction: Working in China and getting involved as a member with the MGCC Hong Kong as well as attending and participating in functions of the Hong Kong Classic Car Club, I have come to appreciate the difficulties in importing and owning classic cars we do not have in the States and am continually impressed with the lengths to which these folks here will go to find their dream car(s) and restore them. The story to follow on a 58 MGA restoration is still a work in progress, with the body st...
