I'm retired from the Navy with 22 years of service. SCPO. Currently living in Virginia. The '65 is my return to the sports car that I loved as a younger man stationed in Hawaii in the early seventies.

Carpet And Headliner

67 GT 001

Well the new carpet and headliner kit is on the way from PJM Motors in the UK. Can't wait to get started putting it in. I'll be sure to post some pics when it arrives. Big push now to try and finish the GT in time for MG2012 in Dillard, Ga. Wanted to take the GT instead of the roadster as I want to get some things taken care of on the roadster this summer. I only have the money to work on one at a time, so the roadster is waiting now while I finish up the GT. Major debate going on in my head...

Interior For The GT

67 GT 004

Ordered the new carpet and headliner kit from PJM Motors today. Also ordered the C Post liners. PJM Motors is in England, and they are the same people I got my interior from for the '65. I was extremely pleased with that interior I got for the '65 so I expect the same quality and good appearance for the interior for the GT. The interior carpet will be red and the headliner and C Post liner will be gray. The carpet usually takes a few weeks so hopefully by the second week of February it should ...

Restoration Poor

67 GT 005

Since I am no longer able to work, my time is taken up with procuring parts needed to finish up the restoration on the '67 GT. It is amazing to me the sheer number of little parts required. Due to high shipping costs, I have to make sure when I order I am ordering several items to make it worthwhile. Nothing worse than paying $10 to $12 dollars for shipping on a $2 seal. A lot of time that means things sit while you wait for parts. Very frustrating. Having to be on a fixed income is also very...

Parts Just Keep Coming!

New Steering Wheel

Got in a bunch of parts the past few weeks. I had ordered all the seals for the windows, windshield and rear hatch glass. Also got a really nice console off evilbay. I've got a homemade console I picked up from a gent in the UK but have decided not to use it on the GT. I'll probably see about selling it. Also picked up a new steering wheel. Got a good deal on it. The one I have on the GT now is ok but needs to be cleaned up and painted. I'll do that this spring and either keep it as a spare or...
