I work at the VA hospital in Albany, NY. I was an RN but about 14 years ago switched to computer training and really have enjoyed the switch. As far as mg's I am told I drove my Dads MG TD down a hill into a rock wall when I was 2. Don't remember that. Now I own a 78 midget I found in boxes in a local barn. It's been interesting to put the thing back together as it was in boxes. I also like Lotus Europa's and hope someday to get one.

During October i drove out to see my Dad who lives about 50 plus miles away. All went smoothly until I pulled down his street and shifted. I had difficulty getting it into gear and it ground. Soon it was grinding in all gears when I tried to put it into gear. Ouch. I checked the clutch fluid and it was about out. Filled it which got me home but that started a long period of trying to figure out what was happening. In the end the slave cylinder was going bad. It was only 3 years old. I repl...

June 2007:My friend Matt once again walked me through the fine art of adjusting the values. Not difficult once someone showed me but it had been a year so I just wanted to be sure. I remember the first time doing this. Wow what a difference in power. After doing it this time, then tuning the motor I was backing it out and the car just stopped. After a moment I noticed I didn't hear the clicking of the fuel pump. Checking all the electrical lines I discovered it was getting power up to th...

04/15/07: I added a new Master brake cylinder two weeks ago. My wife had just had surgery so I was left without a second hand to pump the brakes. I went out and bought one of those vacume brake systems and it worked pretty good. The braking is significantly improved and responsive. The interior of the car is 85% completed. I have to do the panels behind the seats and then the trunk area. Looks pretty good although I notice every piece of dirt with the new beige interior. The new ...

I continue to slowly work on restoring my 1975 midget. 2004 was spent putting it back together as I had found it literally in boxes. 2005 was spend in fixing and refixing different components. I also started to restore the barn I have as it had a dirt floor and was wet. 2006 I spent driving it and working on repainting it plus I started to redo the interior. Now in Jan 2007 I noticed Victory British has a pretty good price on their seat covers so I have ordered them plus some ne...
