1969 MG MGC GTS

This car was rescued from a junk yard and was rusted out.(See side picture for how it looked when it came home.) It came with a GTS body kit in a box so it was restored as a GTS street car. the British GTS Kit included fiberglass panels cast from a real GTS to include the bonnet, front & rear fenders and rear valence. I made the air dam myself from a MGB air dam.
It is not a GTS race reproduction (there are enough of those). This is what a GTS street car could & should be.
It came with the 5-lug bolt on wheels which I think are not very common. It has a sprint cam and headers and some head porting, cooling is by alumunum radiator. It has front & rear sway bars and traction bars with 15X7 wheels.

Saw Mickey and his lovely wife in Remo at MG2011 with this car. Looks really good! Just wish I had more time to drool on it.
