I just did "buy it now" on Ebay- will hand over the check on Wednesday. What am I doing with the BGT? I can't take the Jag, the STAG or the Midget to Home Depot so I need a hatchback. Yeah that's the excuse I'll use......sensible transportation for shopping at COSTCO or HD.

Next weekend is the big start on Mrs. B. Strip out the interior, dash, wiring and start the steps to awaken the engine. Lisa wants the later BL "Tahiti Blue" I want RED RED RED...so good that the mechanical work will take up the bulk of my time and I can avoid the car color question for months.....

Interior stripped out, carbs and manifold removed, all hoses and peripherals removed from engine. Radiator removed and pressure tested- good shape. Engine turns freely by hand, she was full of clean oil, I added Automatic Tranny Fluid for detergent properties thru plug holes and and will drain in a week or two. Working on the gas tank and then will redo the clutch and brake master cylinders next week. New thermostat and alternator installed. Do I really need to get a new alloy head yet? Much done in two saturdays. Remarkably the wiring harness looks new...I think that was replaced before the car was laid up. Just want to see if she will fire up and if there is compression. God I'm in love with this car already.
