The second picture [no longer!] shows "Geraldine" in her present state: awaiting still more sanding before priming and blocking for that new paint-job. Yeah - she looked good in the earlier picture - except that was from about 40 feet. All her horizontal surfaces were cooked.

After new paint, she'll get new interior, reworked engine/transmission conversion, front disc brakes and A/C (which we hope will WORK this time!!!).

* In progress as of January 2, 2009. Note the dates on the two pictures just uploaded today. It's hard to say "in progress" as the car looks progressively worse at each stage with the passage of time. But we're nearing the bottom of the disassembly-assembly curve. At this point, I've just received new rear-wing-bottom rust-repair panels and a rear "boot skirt" from Shortens and, with some cooperation from the weather (' can't heat the shop below 20 degrees F), I hope to get to this rather limited rust repair in the next few days. I'm aiming to get it done in time for NAMGAR GT 35 featuring the Magnettes in 2010.

April 16, 2009. New panels installed, welded, and filled. Floor repairs complete. Just have to apply automotive sealer to the welded joints in the floor and send it back to the body shop. The car was "stripped" but I spent another three days stripping it further!

9/03/10: Still in progress. She does now "drive" - took her to GT35 earlier this summer, but there still is much to be done.
