Registry: 1974 MG MGB GT

For sale is ‘MadGe’, a 1974 MGBGT with 86,000 miles indicated (may or may not be genuine). I bought this from Jim Watson of Maryville TN (a well respected LBC guru) back in January of last year in hopes that my wife would use it as a daily driver. Sadly she is too used to power everything – so, sadly, ‘MadGe’ has to go!

She has a dealer fitted vinyl roof and comes with a very useful roof-rack

She is in excellent condition both mechanically and bodily – good oil pressure and easy starts; no sign of rust anywhere. There is a slight problem which only occurs in cold weather – in January and February I found that I needed to turn the key back and forward once or twice before the ignition light came on; then it started right off. Once the weather warmed up that problem disappeared. Jim included a new starter switch and that comes with the car. He also included a steering rack as well and that also comes with the car.

I’d like to get at least $6,500, but will accept offers – we hardly used the car!
