This is MG Maestro Turbo number 314 of a limited edition of 505 cars built by Austin Rover and Tickford in 1989.

I drove to my wedding in this car, my wife went in the Austin 12 that you can also see in the picture.

These cars were fitted with a 2.0 litre turbocharged O-Series engine and were the last MG to be fitted with an SU carburettor. These were the VHPD (very high-performance derivative) of the Maestro and were the fastest accellerating MG of all time for anumber of years. 0-60mph (0-100km/h) takes just 6.7 seconds and this is still the quickest front-wheel drive MG.

Just 92 cars were finished in white so this is a rare beast indeed!

Lovely to see the MGMT in white. Very nice Example Matthew. Had the
pleasure of driving the model at an Austin Rover test track day at
Brands Hatch many years ago. Breathtaking performer.
