1957 Triumph TR3

"Little Frogy"

The year was 2001 when cable TV had a station where you could place an AD for free! Well anyway the family was in Germany and I was left home because of work. So one night I spotted this AD... 1957 TR3 for sale and a number that's it.I called left a message and four day's went by, then the phone rang! The voice said, "Are you still interested in the car" sure I said how much.He said the car's been sitting for 16yrs and my Dad wants it out of there make me an offer. I saw the car the next day and offered $200.00 never thinking he would say "OK, she's yours"

Of course the car needed alot of work. It was hit in front left side, floors were gone and the paint was almost all flaked off because it was covered for 16yrs. The brakes were shot, brake lines needed to be replaced and the fuel pump I replaced with an elec one new tires and put in a new battery and she started right up!OK maybe not all in that order. So in less than 4 weeks I had her running the body work and paint complete. At the car show's they call her a 20/20 car, looks good at 20feet and 20 mph. I'm alot of things but not a body/paint guy. Of all our cars my wife and I love the TR/3 the most it's a joy to drive!
